Womb Service was created to make high-quality perinatal education more accessible to labor & delivery nurses and the hospitals they serve. After more than 16 years in labor and delivery and experience at over 25 hospitals across the country, I built Womb Service to bring engaging, evidence-based education directly to the nurses and hospitals that need it most.
meet amber Massey
I'm Amber Massey, BSN, RNC-OB, C-EFM, an AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Instructor and labor & delivery nurse with more than 16 years of bedside experience.
I began my career in labor and delivery in 2010 and became a travel nurse in 2012, caring for patients alongside teams at more than 25 hospitals across the country. Working in high-risk, low-risk, community, and tertiary care settings exposed me to many different approaches to obstetric care and shaped the way I teach today.
Those experiences reinforced the importance of understanding the “why” behind clinical decisions rather than simply memorizing guidelines. Whether I'm teaching an individual nurse or an entire hospital unit, my goal is to create an engaging, supportive learning environment where nurses leave feeling more confident, prepared, and ready to apply what they've learned at the bedside.

My Teaching Philosophy
“Confidence doesn't come from memorizing. It comes from understanding.”
When I first became a labor & delivery nurse, I quickly realized that the best clinicians weren't simply the ones who memorized guidelines—they were the ones who truly understood the physiology behind what they were seeing.
Over the years, I've become passionate about helping nurses develop that same understanding. My goal isn't just to prepare someone to pass a certification course. It's to help them think critically, recognize patterns with confidence, and apply what they've learned to provide safer, more compassionate care.
I believe education should be engaging, approachable, and enjoyable. Fetal monitoring and obstetric concepts can feel overwhelming, but they don't have to. Some of the most rewarding moments in my career have been watching nurses connect the dots, gain confidence, and begin applying concepts that once felt intimidating.
Every course I teach is designed with one goal in mind: helping nurses leave feeling more knowledgeable, more confident, and better prepared to care for the families who trust them during one of life's most important moments.
